This is a review of Figuarts Marco the Phoenix figure from One Piece. First impressions: EPIC wings!!! This figure is about 15cm tall with wings. In addition Marco comes with replacement arms and face (without flames) Although, I don’t see why they are needed because he looks so badass with flames.

Pros:

Wings are really well made. Transparent blue plastic makes it look just like the anime.

Flames have really good detail.

Cons:

Nothing much to say figure is very well made.

First of all I have to say I am a huge One Piece fan love the story, characters, fights everything. This puzzle came up while I was searching through One Piece stuff on amiami and I was reminded of the powerful emotional scene at the end of the Alabasta arc. As a result, I straight away (being the otaku that I am) proceeded to purchase this puzzle. This was the first puzzle I have put together this size and id have to say it was heaps of fun. It took me about 3-4 hours to complete the whole thing. This puzzle is 352 pieces and completed dimensions are 18.2 cm tall by 51.5cm wide

Pros:

Had lots of fun putting it together looks really good framed up on my wall

All the puzzle pieces fit together really well no missing pieces etc

Cons:

Nothing to say here had lots of fun putting it together, no missing pieces, everything fit together perfectly without any problems.

This box contains 6 figure variations and 8 figures in the box.  These are around 9-10cm tall. The box I got came with 2 duplicates of Garp and Smoker.  Straight out of the box I was impressed by the detail that has gone into the clothes I wasn’t expecting it to be this detailed for this price.

Pros:

Really liking mantles, they look really cool

Detail on rest the cloths figure

Cons:

Faces/hair/eyes look a bit unrealistic

Smokers jute came bent not enough support while in the box

BANDAI Chozokei Damashii Gurren Lagann Box Review

This box set includes 10 trading figures Lagann and Nia standing at around 7cm and the majority being about 11cm high. All of the possible variations were in this box. My first impression was the amazing detail for the price now many people may cringe at trading figures due to their cheap low quality and unrealistic detail and paint jobs but after opening this I beg to differ. Detail is stunning from almost every angle and very good value for money in my opinion.

Pros:

Price! Works out to be roughly 60 USD for the box which makes 6 dollars per figure!

Good detail very satisfied with purchase

Cons:

Stands! Kamina don’t fit the characters legs properly and are too loose hence not being able to support the figure properly. A light accidental bump of my display case and it would be the only figure that falls. With that said all the other stands for the other characters work well and are much more stable than this.

Saber Alter Figma Review

Saber Alter stands about 13cm tall. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Figmas they are pose able figures i.e. articulated joints and usually replaceable hands/weapons/faces etc. This saber figma was the first figma in my collection and I have to say I am damn impressed. After fiddling around with it for a bit here is my review.

Pros

Joints are very well hidden by Saber’s armor. Sometimes it’s hard to tell that this is actually a figma at all.

Dark colours are very well done gives her the badass look she deserves.

Cons

Personally her armor is too shiny for my taste in some lighting it looks plasticy….. but that’s probably just me XD
